Women Social entrepreneurship is vital for our future. Collectively we can make a change by closing the gap between men and women in the workforce. Entrepreneurs are those adventurous, daredevils who drive deep into the pressing problems of society and try to find solutions to them, not by leaving the responsibilities in the reins of the government or business, but by trying to change systems as whole and persuading societies to take new initiatives.
In our Social Entrepreneur series today we are introducing you a very dynamic and popular Social Entrepreneur of Madurai for her remarkable and outstanding performance in social field particular in Inner Wheel Club who always believes in Women Empowerment and social entrepreneurship. Yes, we are talking about Mrs. Visalakshy Annamalai, President Inner Wheel Club of Madurai City, District 321, she shared her Service and Charity Project with Hello Womeniya Correspondent Priyanka Yadav.

Project 1:
Donated Six sets of Desk and benches with club name and IW logo to the West Panchayat Union Middle School Narayanapuram, Madurai.
Amount spent: Rs.31,800

Project 2:
This little one was born with cleft lip. Our club members donation helped for her surgery and she has now recovered and discharged with sound health.

Project 3:
Celebrated Independence day at Auxilium Higher Secondary School , Madurai. Planted tree saplings in the school premises .
Amount spent: Rs.2,500.

Branding Inner wheel by distributed 100 cotton bags with Inner Wheel logo to the public.
Amount spent: Rs.2,700.

Supported women entrepreneurs by contributed Sewing machines to needy women to develop their tailoring business .

Project 6:
Hand over 75 PPE kits to Madurai Rajaji Government Hospital.
Amount spent: Rs.16,000.

Supported women entrepreneurs by Contributed two Vendors cart for the needy women for their Vegetable selling.

Contributed Nighties, dress materials for skirt & blouses (200 mts) to ANNAI THERESA ORPHANAGE HOME

Project 9:
Conducted an Awareness programme about Hazards of Smoking, drugs ,alcohol and mobile addiction to the students of Elango Corporation Higher Secondary School .They were educated in how to stop the addiction , how to overcome it & where to get help. Mr. Raja Soundrapandian (Psychologist and Mental Health trainer ) gave a speech about the above, he also had an interactive session with the students and cleared their doubts.

Paid school fees for a boy who financial backward student to continued his studies.

Brief Introduction of International Inner Wheel:
International Inner Wheel is an international women’s Social organisation to create friendship, service and understanding. It has clubs in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members. IWC has very strong presence in India. It has more than 3000 thousands clubs in Urban and rural India. Since the Covid-19 Pandemic breaks out Inner wheel club launched charity campaign worldwide. In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this Episode we are introducing very popular face of IWC; she doesn’t need any kind of Introduction.
