Women Social entrepreneurship is vital for our future. Collectively we can make a change by closing the gap between men and women in the workforce.

Saloni Kaul: I am the Founder & CEO of It’s People, an HR Business consulting firm , where we bridge and align the fundamentals of business & people strategy, leadership and organisational development and talent management solutions with the art of coaching and learning to help improve performance and business results through people.
I am an Award Winning People & Culture Strategist , HR Consultant, Certified Executive Coach, Recognised HR Woman Influencer & Best Selling Author of the Growth Hacking Book 2. I enable business and human resource leaders solve their most crucial people and culture problems. I come with a rich multi national experience of three decades in HR Business Leadership, Consulting, Coaching, Mentoring and Training.

Saloni Kaul:  When I joined the family business, at the age of 21, I dreamt of having a business of my own. Just like my dad. My father was my inspiration. He still is. I wanted to serve and make a difference in the lives of people I worked with. I chose HR as that is where my entire experience and forte lay.

Hello Womeniya: What Challenges have you faced as a Woman Entrepreneur and how did you overcome them.

Saloni Kaul:  Most challenges are in the mind before they manifest in reality. The same can be said for ideas as well.

I do not believe I faced any challenges.

And If I did face some, they were disguised as challenges but were meant for my expansion and growth.

Saloni Kaul: My everyday inspiration comes from my Purpose.

My Reason for Being
The Purpose of my life is to awaken people to live their dreams by unleashing their infinite potential and creating a world of endless possibilities!
I believe that we all have powers and potential that is waiting to be tapped !
I give power to my purpose by enabling business and human resource leaders solve their most crucial people and culture problems by aligning business and people strategy, with the art of coaching & learning to help them overcome specific challenges and easily achieve their goals.
I love energising people and helping them look for their purpose so they can be who they really want to be and live a life they really want to live !

Hello Womeniya: Do you feel that in India there are enough structures and facilities put in place to assist women to expand their Startup Journey.

Saloni Kaul: India has made progress in creating a supportive ecosystem for women entrepreneurs, with several government and private initiatives aimed at encouraging and supporting women-led startups. Some of the notable initiatives include:
Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP): Launched by the NITI Aayog, WEP is an online platform that provides support to women entrepreneurs by offering networking opportunities, mentorship, funding, and skill development programs.
Stand-Up India: A scheme launched by the Government of India to support women and SC/ST entrepreneurs by providing loans between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 1 crore for setting up greenfield enterprises.
Atal Innovation Mission (AIM): An initiative of NITI Aayog, AIM provides support to women entrepreneurs through various programs such as the Atal Incubation Centers and Atal New India Challenges.
Disha: An initiative of the Department of Science and Technology, Disha provides technical and financial support to women entrepreneurs in the field of science and technology.
Despite these initiatives, women entrepreneurs still face several challenges, including lack of access to funding, limited networking opportunities, and societal biases. However, there are several organizations and networks that are working towards addressing these challenges and creating a more supportive environment for women entrepreneurs in India.

Hello Womeniya: What advice would you give to someone who are aspiring Women Entrepreneur

Saloni Kaul: I can provide some general advice for aspiring women entrepreneurs:
Identify your passion and strengths: Starting a business can be challenging, and it requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Identify your passion and strengths, and choose a business idea that aligns with them. This will help you stay motivated and focused, and increase your chances of success.
Do your research: Conduct market research to understand your target audience, competition, and industry trends. This will help you identify gaps in the market and develop a unique value proposition for your business.
Create a business plan: A business plan is a roadmap for your business. It should include details about your business idea, market analysis, marketing strategy, financial projections, and goals. A well-written business plan will help you secure funding and stay on track.
Build a network: Networking is important for any entrepreneur, but it can be especially valuable for women entrepreneurs who may face more barriers. Attend industry events, join professional organizations, and connect with other entrepreneurs to build a supportive network.
Seek mentorship: Finding a mentor who has experience in your industry can be invaluable. They can provide guidance, share their experiences, and help you navigate challenges.
Stay focused and persistent: Starting a business is a long journey, and it’s important to stay focused and persistent. There will be setbacks and challenges along the way, but with dedication and hard work, you can overcome them and achieve your goals.

Saloni Kaul: There are many women from whom i gather inspiration. These women are inspiring because they have broken barriers, overcome challenges, and achieved success in their respective fields. They are role models for women in India and around the world, and their stories of perseverance, determination, and leadership serve as an inspiration to all.

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw: She is the founder and chairperson of Biocon, one of India’s largest biotechnology companies.
Indra Nooyi: She is the former CEO of PepsiCo, one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies.
Mary Kom: She is a five-time world boxing champion and an Olympic bronze medalist. She has overcome several challenges and obstacles to become one of India’s most successful athletes. She is a role model for women across India and has been recognized with several awards for her contributions to sports.

Saloni Kaul: To all the women out there, today we celebrate you and your incredible achievements. You are strong, resilient, and capable of achieving anything you set your mind to.
Remember that you are worthy, you are important, and you have the power to create positive change in the world. Embrace your uniqueness and use your voice to speak up for what you believe in.
Know that you are not alone, and there is a vast network of women who are standing with you and supporting you. Together, we can break down barriers, shatter stereotypes, and create a more equitable world for all.
