Mumbai: Inner Wheel are constantly kept up toward giving support to the community likewise Inner Wheel Club of Bangalore accomplished varied projects even in the Covid crisis
Prema Aiyer is the 55th President of Inner Wheel Club of Bangalore which is the largest women voluntary organisation that works towards social development and nation-building. In 2020 – 21, the club members strived to “lead the change” irrespective of testing times, they worked tirelessly in the areas of Education and Vocational Training, Health & Hygiene, Elderly (Senior Citizens), Woman & Child, Community, and Environment. The largest club has significantly impacted around 73,000 lives with over 125 diverse projects.
The challenge in public life has created an opening for the club to be creative. A phenomenal amount of effort has gone into COVID 19 initiatives such as honoring multiple ambulance drivers who are working 24/7 in taking care of patient’s, improving medical infrastructure at CV Raman Nagar hospital, exclusively organized vaccination camps, gift a meal for patients across Bengaluru city, medical and nutritional care for elderly, children and women from different sections, provisions and groceries for migrant people from slums, PPE kits for one of the all-women police station in Bengaluru along with personalized counseling to covid patient’s and their family members to overcome the mental trauma and many more.

International Inner Wheel is an international women’s organisation to create friendship, service, and understanding. It has clubs in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members. It is a nonprofit organization and known for its charity works. Inner wheel club has a very strong presence in India. More than 3,000 clubs are active in urban as well rural areas of India.
