Dr. Anu Kalra :

Famous As : Social Entrepreneur

Based : Panipat

Dr. Anu Kalra, a Teacher by profession while Speaking with Hello Womeniya said that as a Teacher it never struck her mind she would be able to do some thing for society. Reminiscing her first memories she always believed she was meant for something great—educating others. But with passage of time she realized that a teacher should accept her responsibility in the realization of social objective, which implies that education should be related to the life, needs and aspirations of the people. As a teacher she feels that a teacher feels more of a social worker than a teacher playing three roles in daily schedule a teacher, parent and social worker and it is always good to offer a hand instead of a judgment as the more you care , the stronger you can be.

Her Message on Haryana Day:

Haryana is an amazingly developed state with great ranking nationwide but has considerably low sex ratio.
It saddens my heart to see that the importance of a girl child is not very well recognised in our state where a number of girls have achieved tremendously in fields wearing from astronomy to sports. We are teachers are drivers of the society and shape the future lives. This is a big responsibility bestowed upon us and must be dealt with almost care. It’s our outmost priority to work towards the development of women. Investing on the education of women is one of the most important steps we can take in this direction. The kind of discrimination faced by girls in our society hits me the most and thus I’ve always tried to push my extents to help, encourage and nature them. Providing them with good quality education will make them independent, emotionally as well as financially. This will be your fruits not only for this generation but many generations to come. A today’s day’s encouraged girl will be the mirror of tomorrow’s world.
