Richa Singh expresses gratitude for getting an opportunity to be associated with ‘Hello Womeniya”.
I started my professional journey around 8 years back with an NGO in Meerut where I was secretary of that NGO. Two like aged people decided to work together for the society and the journey begins. Did many works for the society in every sector whether it is environment, water, women empowerment etc. Individually and through the organization also, I soon became a known figure and everyone started recognizing me with my works. But after few years, I realized that I am not able to give my 100 percent due to some restrictions due to a which I was not able to take individual decisions and so last year I registered my own NGO named “Global Social Connect” in Meerut. Suddenly after registering, the country had lockdown and my real struggle started as to how to get people associate with me. I started doing webinars and did so many webinars in every sector. I invited guest speakers from different parts of the world and connected the people locally and globally. I am really surprised that within a very short span of time so many good people joined me from all over the globe. The one year journey of GSC is very sweet and I have a strong team with me standing tightly. GSC is basically working to connect people and this is what our tagline is “Connecting Humanity.” We are trying to get human solutions for the problems. I have around 10 coordinators of GSC in different cities of India where they are trying to work for the society under our banner and making a strong team. We are working for a gaushala in Sardhana where the accidental and sick cows are kept and they are treated under our project “Besahara Gayon ka Sahara.” It was started with 2 cows and now there are more than 200 cows within 2 years. We are working for underprivileged kids to connect them to education in any way under our Project “Taare Zameen Par.” Here, we are trying to uplift these poor kids in making them admitted in good schools.
I am constantly working in the upliftment of rural libraries and aanganvadis in many villages also. I am also doing several awareness programs in schools whether Govt. Schools, CBSE board or ICSE board on environment protection and sports. Engaged in regular plantation practices also. Then I am also trying to promote Football in the city from grassroot so that the talent from remote areas get that opportunity to coming forward under our project “Let’s Football.” I am personally associated with Delhi Football Association. I am Futsal Head of Delhi United Football Club, Manager of Women’s Team, Frontier Football Club Delhi and Chief Advisor Sports Promotion Association of India.
