In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this episode we are introducing you to a very dynamic and popular social entrepreneur of IWC who firmly believes in Social service and charity work yes we are talking about Meenakshi Sharma President of Inner Wheel Club of Dharamshala, Dist-307 stepped in with precautions to support Covid affected in this lockdown.
Brief Introduction of District 307:-
This District has rendered exceptional towards the accomplishment of goals that were established to support society. As well as will keep fulfilling wonderful endeavor along with is one of the major districts which include clubs like IWC Amritsar, IWC Batala, IWC Bilaspur, IWC Chamba, IWC Damtal, IWC Gurdaspur Chirag, IWC Hamirpur, IWC Hoshiarpur, IWC Jalandhar, IWC Goraya, IWC Ludhiana, IWC Jammu, and several others.
Mumbai:- International Innerwheel is an International organization of women from all over the world. The theme was “Lead the Change” for the year2020 to 2021. This theme was perfect according to the situation of covid. In difficult times Innerwheel didn’t stop and reached along to assist society in various aspects. During Pandemic duration the most affected people are labor on daily wages and specially migrated Labour. Inner wheel club of Dharamshala came forward to help them especially to fulfill their basic need of food.
She is the President of this club for the year 2020-21 and is also working with an NGO as a Principal( Gamru Village school). This school is for underprivileged children of migrated Labour since 2004. School provide free education, personal hygiene, medical help
Mid-day meal etc. Through education uplifting these families socially and economically. Trying to make them responsible citizens. Also leading her life as an adventurer. Black Belt in Karate, Mountaineer Skier and Trekker. She also gives her time to train girls in self-defense.
They have contributed Rashan( grocery) to 150 families for six months. Have also provided them Sanitizer, Mask, Medicine, Immunity Booster Drink, Multi-Vitamins
And Gloves.
Furthermore donated Trolley Stretcher Masks to Zonal Hospital Dharamshala. In the second wave hospitals are overburdened with covid patients and shortage of everything. Many people have lost their jobs because of the lockdown. Many parents were not able to buy Mobile phones for their wards for online education. So their club has donated 10 smartphones to underprivileged children to proceed with their studies.
Daily wage workers were not able to do the marriage of their daughters. This club also supported 7 poor girls for their marriage and assisted financially and gave many items. IWC Dharamshala donated clothes, (woolens and Cotton).Blankets to Gunjan NGO. This NGO
Is working in almost all states.
Under Swachh Bharat the mission club honored Front Line Warriors for their services in Pandemic time. To save our environment this club planted in barren land and City for beautification.
Dharamshala Club moreover bestows scholarships to needy children for their study in college and training. Along with giving appreciation to all members for their kind support.

International Inner Wheel is an international women’s organisation to create friendship, service, and understanding. It has clubs in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members. It is a nonprofit organization and known for its charity works. Inner wheel club has a very strong presence in India. More than 3,000 clubs are active in urban as well rural areas of India.
