An esteemed professional in Dermatology and Aesthetic industry, Dr. Sharmila Nayak believes that the best make up is a healthy glowing skin and one should be comfortable in their skin. A self-confessed yoga freak spends an hour on power yoga every day—inspite of her busy schedule.
Taking about the importance of yoga, Dr. Sharmila Nayak says “The ultimate goal of yoga is, to help an individual to transcend the self and attain peace and balance. It aims to achieve this through a series of physical and mental exercises. At the physical level, the methods comprise various yoga postures or ‘asanas’ that aim to keep the body healthy. The mental techniques include breathing exercises or ‘pranayama’ and meditation or ‘dhyana’ to discipline the mind”
When asked her about her plans on International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2019, she said “This day is no different for me. I practice yoga everyday and it should not be restricted to just one day. Yoga is a journey of mind & body which cannot be achieved in just a few sessions. However, It’s such a great feeling when the entire world is inspired & has accepted importance of Yoga to remain healthy. I urge one and all to incorporate Yoga in their fitness routines and make it as a way of life…
