Women Social entrepreneurship is vital for our future. Collectively we can make a change by closing the gap between men and women in the workforce. Entrepreneurs are those adventurous, daredevils who drive deep into the pressing problems of society and try to find solutions to them, not by leaving the responsibilities in the reins of the government or business, but by trying to change systems as whole and persuading societies to take new initiatives.
In our Social Entrepreneur series today we are introducing you a very dynamic and popular Social Entrepreneur of Tiruchi Rockfort she is known for her remarkable and outstanding performance in social field particular in Inner Wheel Club who always believes in Women Empowerment and social entrepreneurship. Yes, we are talking about Mrs. Pavithra Manikandan, President Inner Wheel Club of Tiruchi Rockfort, District 321, she shared her Service and Charity Project with Hello Womeniya Correspondent Priyanka Yadav.
Key Highlights of Service Project:
Project 1:
We taught healthy home made soap making with 10 different varieties like Tomato soap, Carrot soap, Neem soap, Aloe Vera soap, Beet root soap, coconut milk soap, Turmeric soap, sandalwood soap, Basin flour soap n coconut oil soaps to teachers, mother’s and children of middle school in Cantonment. This is also a recycle and reusable process. Papaya peel, Orange peel, Mango peel, banana peel and Apple peel can also used in making fragrant healthy natural coloured soap. This is herbal, Natural and healthy soap for our skin. Also we branded IW in healthy home made soaps n distributed to their respective teachers, mother’s n children. Everyone were very happy, proud and very interested to make soaps. Even though it was very healthy they liked very much also they promised to make own business.

Project 2:
On occasion of Earth day We distributed ‘Manja pai’ – cotton yellow bags to the public beginning with the Honorable Mayor, Honorable Deputy Mayor, City Corporation Commissioner, District Project Officer- Integrated Child Development Scheme Community Development Project Officers
and Corporation Councilors. We distributed 3300 bags to create an Awareness to Avoid plastic and we distributed plants to Corporation staffs, anganvadi people n public who visited corporation office. Also we branded IW in cotton yellow bags with the Awareness to avoid plastics n Save the Soil. Then we distributed some more bags to public infront of Srirangam temple, Uzhavar Sandhai (market), Court Road (walking people), evening market n Students. We encourage public to make the earth greener and fertile. Everyone appreciated about our project n blessed us. Everyone are very happy.

Project 3:
To avoid plastics we placed Awareness board opposite to court, Contonment, Trichy. We encourage everyone to use cloth bags not plastic bags.

We sponsored IW standing Umbrella to school n public library which is very useful to public n children to sit outside n study.This umbrella is very essential during summer time which made children very happy.

On occasion of Chitra pournami We joined hands with Iragugal trust we provide food for mentally challenged children. All children were happy.

Project 6:
On the Occasion of International Women’s Day, Lending a hand to the Women around us, we have taken up as our continuous project to provide ‘Job opportunities to women in need. We are grateful to our member Mrs. Ramola Ravi for being able to recruit Mrs.Jebamani, who approached us in need of a job at Arunn Autospares, Trichy. We believe that by providing a woman with a livelihood we not just uplift her but also elevate her family. This project will continue throughout this month.

On occasion of World Road safety week- Jan 11- Jan 17 we created Poster abt how to avoid Corona n Road Safety Awareness n paste it in Vehicles, Shops n Apartments. Our club members draw pics abt Road safety Awareness. Also our ISO daughter make questionnaire n Our member daughter made short video about Road Safety Awareness n send it to all social media. We celebrated Diwali with the kids of Govt. School, Puthur, Trichy. We provided dresses, sweets, savories, snacks n crackers to kids. All kids n members were very happy n enjoyed very much on this occasion.

Project 9:
We Celebrated World Literacy day in Middle School. We honoured BEO Jayalakshmi mam n Head mistress Amsavalli mam with Books. We given speech abt Importance of Literacy day n Importance of reading books to mother’s n kids. We provided 70 books with Branding INNER WHEEL to newly opened school library n our members kids. Also we provided Pens with Branding INNER WHEEL to all kids. All kids were very happy by receiving books n pens.

We taught children to make colourful and decorative diya. All Kids individual creativity r shown. Everyone r eagerly participated n made beautiful diyas and enjoyed very much. Also we branded IW in beautiful diya to kids with our club name stickers on it.

Brief Introduction of International Inner Wheel:
International Inner Wheel is an international women’s Social organisation to create friendship, service and understanding. It has clubs in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members. IWC has very strong presence in India. It has more than 3000 thousands clubs in Urban and rural India. Since the Covid-19 Pandemic breaks out Inner wheel club launched charity campaign worldwide. In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this Episode we are introducing very popular face of IWC; she doesn’t need any kind of Introduction.
