In our Entrepreneur series today We are introducing you a very dynamic and popular Education Entrepreneur of  Nagpur who always belives in Women Empowerment and Social service is passion for her. Yes we are talking about Nagpur based  Ramya Kannan who shared her professional  and Entrepreneurial  journey with Hello Womeniya Chapter Head Sarika Mahesh Shah 

Brief Introduction of Ramya Kannan

Ms. Ramya Kannan is an education entrepreneur. She works as a freelance trainer and conducts different workshops for various groups of people – school children, college goers, teachers, employees, parents, women groups and general audience.

Her workshops are a hit with people because they are practical and very different from the ones available in the market.

Personality Development workshops help college students improve their confidence and get placed. Communication workshops have resulted in kids opening up and speaking more confidently. Employees find her workshops refreshing and helps them stay motivated in their lives. She also works with the disabled community by educating society on their needs and inclusion in the mainstream society.

Though she works with different sects of people, she personally enjoys working with children as she feels they are more open and malleable. “Catch them young” is her mantra.

During the COVID times, she has been conducting online workshops for all groups of people. She also conducted an independent research on the “Effectiveness of Online Classes in Vidarbha” by conducting survey on more than 4000 students in Vidarbha. Her paper on the same topic has been published in BISS Journal book. The findings of the study was presented to the Education Minister of Maharashtra, Ms. Varsha Gaikwad and it was instrumental in the creation of guidelines of the ministry during the pandemic times.

She also counsels people on issues with Career, Relationships and Parenting.

Key Highlights of Her Academic Background

She is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer from Anna University, Chennai. She has worked as a Software Engineer in MNCs, both India and abroad. Post her marriage, she had to relocate to be with her husband. Being a city bred person, she initially found it hard to fit into rural India. After some introspection on what’s her purpose in life, she felt there was a need for personality improvement that she could deliver upon.

She is married to Shri. Mr. M. RajKumar, IPS who is currently serving as SP Railways, Nagpur. Being the wife of an IPS officer, she actively takes part in Police Welfare activities as well.
