Female entrepreneurship is vital for our future. Collectively we can make a change by closing the gap between men and women in the workforce.
India has produced a number of women entrepreneurs in Social field in the recent decades. They have ventured into various domains and widened their arena into many healthcare, branding, Social services, etc. Maharashtra notably has the highest number of women entrepreneurs in India.
Hello Womeniya. Com always has a very special corner for the women, and the news portals is working towards the women-empowerment right from the inception. Hello Womeniya’s main objective is to promote women entrepreneurs and create their digital identity on online platform. The woman plays a very important role in our society, she is a housewife, a mother, a friend, a colleague for a long time, and now she also plays the role of businesswoman, entrepreneur and politician. Women have started spreading their wings and there is nothing that can stop them now.
In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this episode we are introducing you a very dynamic and and popular social Entrepreneur of Inner wheel who firmly believes in Social service and charity work yes we are talking about Meenal Lathi District Chairman IW 303 and Association Treasurer Elect of India for 2021-22 .She shared her Entrpreuner and Inner wheel Journey with Hello Womwniya Correspondent Ruchika Sawant.

Meenal Lathi DISTRICT CHAIRMAN OF INNER WHEEL DISTRICT 303
Meenal Lathi Is the Association Treasurer Elect of India for 2021-22
International Inner Wheel is the Largest Women’s International Organisation spread in 104 Countries. In India there are 27 districts under the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India having more than 45000 members & near about 1475 Clubs.
International Inner Wheel has three key objectives:
– To Promote True Friendship
– To Encourage the Ideals of Personal Service
– To Foster International Understanding
Members achieve these aims through Club events, which combine personal service, fund-raising, fellowship and fun, united by friendship and a common aim to serve the local community.
Members give practical support as well as financial help whenever there is a crisis, whether this occurs locally, nationally or internationally, for natural disasters or for people suffering in war-torn regions.
My District number is 303 spread from Igatpuri Nasik to Gondia Chandrapur & Nagpur [13 Geographical Districts] having 54 Clubs & 1734 members. I Meenal Vijay Lathi is District Chairman of the Inner Wheel District 303.
Her achievements are as follows.
Club level :
She has converted adopted school into India’s First Happy School under her leadership. She has won 22 awards being recipient of Best Club Correspondent, Best Secretary, Best International Service Organisor and Best President. Exchange highest 216 flags which is a World Record.
District Level: As editor, she introduced four color district directory, monthly district E Newsletter, As treasurer, she took part in organizing West Zone Meet getting praises by then Association President, Association Secretary, she was also praised by all PDCs for good work. As Vice Chairman, she worked as coordinator for Mission Mamta and as Chairman; she did COTI online, collective installations of all 50 clubs. Training was also provided to Club officers in COTI since last 4 years under her guidance.
Association Level : She participated in Online ICI, District Officers Training at Anand.
Attended: Every District Rally Conference, South Asian Rally, Mumbai, Triennial Conference, Pune, National Event, Delhi, Bhusaval, West Zone Meet, Jalgaon, Surat, Goa, Inter National Inner Wheel Convention at Jaipur.
Credits: She has joined hands with other organizations namely Gangaur Mahila Mandal, Box of Help Foundations, She was awarded with Stree Gaurav Puraskar, Nari Ratna Puraskar and many other awards.
This year as a District Chairman I share my experiences of Happiness.
Due to corona pandemic there was lock down declared since March 2020 before we took over charge as District Chairman. Because of this we were all disappointed, and were demanding for a zero year.
But IIW President Dr. Binaji Vyas inspired us through LEAD THE CHANGE Theme and Association President Vasudhaaji Chandrachud asked to move forward by awakening a new ray of hope through Association Goal HOPE. Honoring the call of both leaders we also moved forward with new horizon of online and Digital world. During this time we got an opportunity to learn a lot of new things.
District Goals SEVA and District Project were also given in our district along with IIW theme LEAD THE CHANGE and association Goal HOPE.
For the first time this year, we did a collective installation of all 50 clubs in the district. There was a lot of enthusiasm among all the club members and everyone unitedly got involved in service work by taking proper care in Corona crisis.
I am giving in brief the work done in our district.
Under United Nations project we had done total 53 projects on Right of Child, Family, Status of Women, Aging, Narcotic Drugs and Caring for Women & Girls .
Under IIW Theme we had formed 5 new clubs & 3 new gen Clubs in District. 18 Youth Clubs started. We had cleaned 23 Wells & Lakes and recharged them. Apart from this, we added 263 new members this year.
Under Association Goals we had done 918 projects approximate cost Rs. 43,14,443/- [Forty three Lac fourteen thousand Four hundred Forty Three] on all aspects given. We had created 25 forests in this year.
I had given District Project SEVA. Under District Goals We had done 24 marriages of needy girls in our district. And Under District Project we had done 22 Inner Wheel Garden & 34 Inner Wheel Chowk, Katta including One Island. This will help to increase PR of Inner Wheel.
Approximate amount raised for all projects is Rs.70,99,514/- [Seventy Lac ninety nine thousand five hundred fourteen] and Approximate number of beneficiaries were 1,57,513 [One Lac Fifty seven thousand Five hundred Thirteen Persons] and Approximate number of Volunteer hours worked in service are 5126 Hours.
I had done most of the Official Club Visits virtually and some physically. It was amazing experience to interact with club executives & members.
While working as District Chairman, I got timely guidance from AP Vasudhaaji. Apart from this I got guidance from PAP & PDCs in our District. Also got support from all District Executives & Club Leaders. All did their duties very well and in time.
We have also found opportunities in adversity. It was a great experience and I am so happy.
About District 303 :
Inner wheel District 303 one of the most important District of Inner wheel in Maharashtra which covers North Maharashtra and Vidrabha Region. It covers many big cities and districts of Maharashtra such as Nasik, Jalgaon, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Wardha and Chandrapur etc. This District performed well during this difficult time of Pandemic. All clubs did many charity work projects for pandemic affected people in rural areas of Maharashtra.
