Mumbai: Interacting with Neha Singh, Usha Agrawal, President, IWC Moradabad, Dis 310, said that the Inner Wheel’s mission is to promote actions, services, and good practices intended to improve the lives of women and children in the world, through a global network .
Inner Wheel Club of Moradabad was admitted in 1970. This is the oldest Club of Moradabad (UP) since the start and till today our club is serving the community with service above self moto and this year 2020 is the golden Jubilee year. They celebrated their golden jubilee in befitting manner in February 2021 by giving some big project to our community.
Usha Agarwal joined this prestigious club in the year 1975. This year she is serving as president second time.
She said – “Our year started on July 1 2020 under the shadow of covid-19. The conditions were very challenging but with the enthusiasm of our members we have converted those challenges into opportunities”
Firstly they donated rupees 50,000 to Prime Minister care fund. On doctors day their members facilitated doctors who served in covid-19 by giving them certificates . Monetary assistance of Rs 10,000 was provided to a poor patient of covid-19 Some colonies of the city were sanitized by their club.150 T-shirts with Inner Wheel logo and mask were distributed to the rickshaw pullers
Club has adopted a NGO “UMEED” where they do financial help and give all the books and stationery to children. Sanitizer and mask distribution is regular feature in the the covid-19 pandemic .Under literacy program they promoted poor children to go to school and bear their whole year fees to go to and other expenses .Vocational training is also given to enable them for employment in local old age home blankets and ration were provided.
To control pollution they have established IWC forest in Divyalok ashram.In this Navratri they are distributing cooked food to the poor rickshaw pullers from 16th October 2020 24th October 2020 which is giving utmost satisfaction to their members.She also added that they all are working on numerous numbers of projects.
