Vijyatta Jaiswal President Lions Club Malad Borivali Shares Her Views And Activities Amid The Covid-19

The Covid-19 induced lockdown has put many a people including the poor and needy and the migrants in dire straits.

Speaking to Hello Womeniya News  Correspondent Esha Pujari over phone, Vijayta said she and her team have been accomplishing various projects amid the lockdown by providing masks and sanitizers to the police and PPE kits to the doctor in the city and in tribal areas and supplied ration to the needy. They even distributed snacks and water to the migrants who were on their way to their native place.

She claimed that they faced challenge initially owing to the closure of shops which made it difficult for them to arrange the essential items and secondly to protect the volunteers from getting infected.

On her views on migrant workers she said the government responded to what they felt was right but the situation could have been handled in a much better way. Amid the vast population, in the initial stage it was deemed necessary. If government didn’t respond at that time, the scenario would have been diffefent. Now she feels contented with the BMC work as they are now engaged with the monsoon related work.

Simultaneously they are also managing the Covid-19 pandemic work and have been doing a good job till now.

Her message to the people is to not to be scared about the situation but to understand the same. To STAY HOME STAY SAFE.
