While speaking to Hello Mumbai News Team, Heena Rahil, Founder, Virtual Academy for Fashion and Fine Arts,makes it known that the motive behind to venture into fashion designing was to encourage and promote women
empowerment and to make them self-independent and good entrepreneurs. This will inspire them to set-up their own business or find job and make a bright future.
Heena is the Professor of fashion designing freelancing from her home. Amid this pandemic situation, when she noticed many women foraying into their own business from home, be it cooking or designing work, and that was the time she thought to do something and started an academy to spread her knowledge. She came up with this concept. She has been travelling since 13 years all over the world, studying and mastering various designs.
Furthermore, amid the duration, she noticed that people may not be able to afford very high fees for fashion and makeup education for creative education.
Meanwhile, the girls and women intended to not to pursue it as they felt that it may be a waste of a year. Moreover, it wasn’t within their capacity to shell out Rs. 1 or Rs.2 lakhs.
She added that she expects to reach those women who are in their homes who prefer to learn and polish their skills. All said there are creative-minded women who aren”t allowed to go out and study fashion. She has students who are mothers to 2/4 year old children. They got united and married at an early age.l. Though they foresaw to do it but they could not.
Now they are committing it with their kids as it is online.
In a pandemic situation, safety is also been glanced at, one student got corona and she was quarantined but did not forfeit the lectures.
One Student claims that her creation is better than the youngsters.
Her academy is for all women irrespective of age group and the fees too, is very much affordable.
When her students reach out to her for paying fees in instalment she has has given them the facilities too. She even provides scholarships.
Till now she has conducted various self-reliant workshops. She has even gone live to educate the kids of 10,12 years of age for making relishing chocolate, bouquets, and IGTV video of her which is followed by thousands of people. She has 12,13 year aged girls who are doing complete party decoration. She loves to share her knowledge and keep on sharing it.
Notably, All the connect are self-independent to start their business and they have started their pages also on her website there are testimonials of students.
Likewise, her academy started amid this Covid pandemic and communicates that it is a time to adapt virtual studies. Her slogan is Modern Destination For Learning. She believes we should not compromise the studies from Covid or fees structure. Soon she may even commence the academy offline after situation improves. Nevertheless, ù0 the situation well with the same fees structure and facilities.
The only problem they face is they they don’t understand the concept of online. They are trying to create that awareness also. The digital world has come in India too and it needs to be accepted.
She is in India doing after completing a fashion course from London University and pays a sum of $ 08,000 and the same amount she is giving in India too. She prefers to provide them with good fee structure, high-class education.
We don’t want them to just pay Rs.1 lakh and they are benefiting. . They all are talented, just need a degree as without it people are not considered for a job.
Giving the certificates also for their portfolios and others. Nowadays packaging is so much in the market everything is packed properly. If a woman is trained for gifting things she can do it by herself or take a job in any showroom like from home also a small chocolate bouquet and others, post it on Instagram as it has become a very good medium to publicize the business.
She Signifies that all the women entrepreneurs, to come together and share knowledge in whatever field they are good at. Her other teammates are very promising and professionals in their fields. They have joined this Academy as it adds women entrepreneurs.
