Mumbai ACP Sujata Patil observes Roza On Every Ramzan

Mumbai ACP Sujata Patil observes Roza.

Ramadan or Ramzan, is the most sacred month of the year in Islamic culture. Muslims observe the month of Ramadan, to mark that Allah, or God, gave the first chapters of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast, abstain from pleasures and pray to become closer to God. It is also a time for families to gather and celebrate.
Muslims fast during the day during Ramadan. After the sun sets at the end of each day, the fast is typically broken with water and dates.

Observances begin the morning after the crescent moon is visibly sighted, marking the beginning of the new month.

Notably, Ms. Sujata Patil, ACP in Mumbai has been fasting during Ramzan for the past 33 years.

It has now become a routine for her to wake up around 4.00 am in every Ramzaan in order to have her Sehri (the pre dawn light meal) and breaks the fast in the evening (iftaar) as per true Islamic practice.

Infact, every year Ms. Sujata waits for the holy month of Ramzan and fasts with full faith and devotion.

This has garnered her a lot of respect among the Muslim Community.
