Women Social  entrepreneurs and business are leaving their mark on the world. By creating successful companies, they are contributing to the betterment of the economy. Female entrepreneurship is vital for our future. Collectively we can make a change by closing the gap between men and women in the workforce.
India  has produced a number of women entrepreneurs in Social field in the recent decades. They have ventured into various domains and widened their arena into many healthcare,  branding, Social services,  etc. Maharashtra  notably has the highest number of women entrepreneurs in India.

Hello Womeniya. Com  always has a very special corner for the women, and the news portals  is working towards the women-empowerment right from the inception. Hello Womeniya’s main objective is to promote women entrepreneurs and create their digital identity on  online platform.  The woman plays a very important role in our society, she is a housewife, a mother, a friend, a colleague for a long time, and now she also plays the role of businesswoman, entrepreneur and politician. Women have started spreading their wings and there is nothing that can stop them now.

In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this episode we are introducing you a very dynamic and and popular social Entrepreneur of Inner wheel who firmly believes in Social service and charity work yes we are talking about Megha Desai who is current president of IWC  of Kushtagi  .She shared her Service projects details  and Inner wheel Journey with Hello Womeniya Correspondent Ruchika Sawant.

Service Project details during pandemic :

In 2017 our KUSHTAGI INNER WHEEL CLUB 316 formed and I joined there as a member .After that I became Treasurer and Vice Preasident in 2018 and 2019 respectively .
Our club mainly targets needy helpless and poor women and kids for help and service .
Every year we adopt a Govt school from a village where we provide basic facilities which are not provided by Govt to school like Sports items Science equipments and charts Mathematical equipments and charts Attractive colouring to school
to attract children towards School Projectors and Screen Wash basins and toilets Chairs and Tables Sports Uniforms etc etc.
We conduct many cultural activities competitions in the Govt school .This year also we gave all these to Govt school and announced it as a Inner Wheel School.
This year we donated a motor bike with retro fitment to a 70%
handicapped girl who was talented but poor and needed a bike for going to college but Govt never saw her requirement and rejected her application from 3 years.
We also helped a poor family who wanted to make their daughter marraige but due to poverty they cant fulfil the basic expenses of marrige.We provided them 6 Silk Sarees and Mangalsutra worth 60000.
We also distributed tabs to Govt 10 th studing students.We donated wheelchair to Sub registrar Office.We did an free eye camp for aged ladies and selected 4 old poor ladies and a small girl for free Catract operation .
We donated a Sanitizer Vending automatic machine for Govt Polytechnic College Kushtagi.
Old age home Visits are regularly done and donations are done .
We felicitated many women and men for their great works in society.

About District 316:

One of the most important District of Inner Wheel in South India which covers big cities and districts of Karnataka such as Bellary, Koppal, Kadapa, Hospet, Chitradurga, Vidyanagar , Gulbarga ,Anantapur, Nellor, and Kurnool of Andhra Pradesh. This District performed well during this difficult time of pandemic and majority of the clubs came forward to support pandemic affected people.

Brief History of Inner Wheel :

Inner Wheel founded by Mrs. Oliver Golding in 1923 is the World’s Second Largest Non-Governmental Voluntary, Women’s Service Organization consisting of mainly women folks of Rotarian. It’s purpose is to help and serve the needy and underprivileged sections of society. The Inner Wheel is the world’s second largest women’s organization and comprises of the women folk of Rotarians. It is a recognized voluntary Non-Government Organization to help and serve the needy and underprivileged sections of the Society. In recognition of its social service, it has got representation in the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The Inner Wheel concentrates upon Friendship and Personal Service.
