Female entrepreneurship is vital for our future. Collectively we can make a change by closing the gap between men and women in the workforce.
India has produced a number of women entrepreneurs in Social field in the recent decades. They have ventured into various domains and widened their arena into many healthcare, branding, Social services, etc. Maharashtra notably has the highest number of women entrepreneurs in India.
Hello Womeniya. Com always has a very special corner for the women, and the news portals is working towards the women-empowerment right from the inception. Hello Womeniya’s main objective is to promote women entrepreneurs and create their digital identity on online platform. The woman plays a very important role in our society, she is a housewife, a mother, a friend, a colleague for a long time, and now she also plays the role of businesswoman, entrepreneur and politician. Women have started spreading their wings and there is nothing that can stop them now.
In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this episode we are introducing you a very dynamic and and popular social Entrepreneur of Inner wheel who firmly believes in Social service and charity work yes we are talking about Monika Pratik Poddar who is current president of IWC Of Gandhi City Wardha .She shared her pandemic charity projects and Inner wheel Journey with Hello Womwniya Correspondent Ruchika Sawant.
Brief Introduction of Monika Pratik Poddar :

I joined Inner wheel club in 2016-17.Apart from Inner Wheel Club I’m also active member of Rajasthani Mahila Mandal, Agrawal Mahila Mandal and some more organisations. In these organisations also I’m being awarded for my work.
As I’m having event management curricular background I play important role in organising events in Inner Wheel, other organisations and family programs.
ACHIEVEMENT DURING PRESIDENCY
During my Presidency I attended all IIW, Association and District events. I have also organised A Global Webinar on Patriotism in which IIW President Dr. Binaji Vyas was Chief Guest.
An east zone friendship day program virtually was organised.
Amid pandemic I was successful in organising installation of my team along with 50 clubs of Dist 303 virtually. As situation prevailed with the help of my club members and guidance of DC Meenalji Lathi I was successful in taking more than 82 service projects for benefit of society.
We covered all IIW goal “Lead the Change”, Association goal “Hope”, and IWD 303 goal “Seva”. Some major points in these goals was related to Animal Safety, Upliftment of Girls & Women, Right of Child, Environment Safety, Education, Health, Covid related projects, Working for Old and Orphans, Happier Future, Branding of Inner Wheel and vivaah project too.
Charity project details during pandemic
1. Donation of 1000 face Masks to Collector.
2. Donation of Face mask, face shield to sanitisation workers of Wardha Municipal Corporation.
3. Donation of 2 sewing machin to needy ladies.
4. Providing Essentials like Medicines, Steamers, Ingredients for Kadha Making at Old Age Home.
5. Making of Inner Wheel Chowk and 2 kattas.
6. Donation of 55 cement bags for Orphanage Home.
7. Installation of Garbage Bin.
8. Formation of Inner Wheel Forest (Association Project), and Beautification of Inner Wheel Garden.
9. Grand Eye Check Up Camp and Cataract Surgery for 7 patients along with a blind patient.
10. Installation of Over Head Water Tank, Water Purifier & Water Cooler machine at Mandir.
Along with this I also formed New Inner Wheel Club “Inner Wheel Club of Deoli Queens. And “Inner Wheel Angels Group Wardha”.
A path breaking project of “1st Inner Wheel E Library” was also undertaken by our club. This E Library was installed at Kasturba Vidya Mandir Sevagram Wardha.
As president I had privilege to Inaugurate a Medical Store and Beauty Parlour.
My tenure was very satisfying for me. I tried to do all _SEVA_ with _HOPE_ to _Lead the Change_. Inner Wheel gave me opportunity to serve to needy people from different walks of society. I thank my seniors, my colleagues and everyone who were part of my presidential journey.
About District 303 :
Inner wheel District 303 one of the most important District of Inner wheel in Maharashtra which covers North Maharashtra and Vidrabha Region. It covers many big cities and districts of Maharashtra such as Nasik, Jalgaon, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Wardha and Chandrapur etc. This District performed well during this difficult time of Pandemic. All clubs did many charity work projects for pandemic affected people in rural areas of Maharashtra.

Inner Wheel founded by Mrs. Oliver Golding in 1923 is the World’s Second Largest Non-Governmental Voluntary, Women’s Service Organization consisting of mainly women folks of Rotarian. It’s purpose is to help and serve the needy and underprivileged sections of society. The Inner Wheel is the world’s second largest women’s organization and comprises of the women folk of Rotarians. It is a recognized voluntary Non-Government Organization to help and serve the needy and underprivileged sections of the Society.
