Myself ​​Neena Malhotra ,
Qualification: ​Ph.D., M.Phil., M.A., B.A. (Hons.)
Position: Former Associate Professor and Head of the Post-graduate Dept. of English, SD College, Ambala Cantt.
Teaching Experience:​ 37 years of teaching P.G. and U.G. Classes.

Publications
Edited three books- 1) Feminism and Fiction (2005), 2) The Eternal Muse: An Anthology of Poems (2006) prescribed for B. A. Third Year students of Kurukshetra and M.D. universities and 3) Excellence in Higher Education (2007).

Research papers and Book Reviews published in edited books and journals.

Seminars and Conferences
Attended and presented papers in National and International seminars in India and abroad. Also acted as Resource Person in many National seminars. Organized many National and UGC sponsored Seminars and Workshops in the College.

Member, Committee for Academic Affairs, Kurukshetra University;
Member of U.G. and P. G. Board of Studies in English of Kurukshetra University
Member of Academic Affairs Committee of Kurukshetra University
Member of many decision-making committees of the college such as Advisory, Library, Reception Committee, Youth Festival Committee, Discipline committee, Girls Committee, Canteen Committee UGC Proposals and Planning Committee, Grievance Redressal Cell, Women Cell and many others for organizing functions in the college.
Editor for 2 years and Chief Editor of the college magazine Sanatan Sancharika for ten years and Trainer of U G C’s “Capacity Building of Women Managers in Higher Education” Programme.

Was President of the Staff Club (for two terms- 4years) having more than 100 faculty members. Was Staff Representative for Governing Body meetings for 2 years.

Research Guidance
Supervised many M. Phil Dissertations and examined Ph. D. theses.
Extra Co-curricular Activities
As student recipient of President Guide’s Award from Dr Zakir Hussain, the President of India
Won Many prizes and trophies in Debates and Declamation Contests at school and college level. Many a time, was adjudged Best Speaker at District, University and State level competitions.
Was actively associated with blood donation, cultural and co-curricular activities like quiz, group dance, Young Speaker’s Club and general functions like Convocation, Prize Distribution, Youth Festivals and Talent-finding etc.

Social Activities
Donated blood 17 times.
In 2009, joined Inner Wheel Club of Ambala, District 308, a unit of International Inner Wheel, World’s largest Women’s Social organization and actively participated in the club activities and projects to serve society.
As Treasurer, Secretary and President of Inner Wheel Club of Ambala received Best Treasurer n Early Bird appreciation, Best Secretary Award, Best President’s award, Best Club Trophy, District Trophy for TEACH program and many awards at Inner Wheel District assembly for doing various projects to serve the needy and under-privileged. The Project on T.B. was included in the Project Bank and got award for the same.
Organized many Speaker meetings, awareness programs and acted as Master of Ceremony in GB meetings during District Chairman’s Club visits many times.
Played major role in the formation of New Gen Cub Ambala Utkarsh.
Helped in organising and also Master of Ceremony of International project with IWC Auckland, Newzealand on India’s First Free blood Call Centre, a drive to help needy people from all classes.
