Women Social entrepreneurship is vital for our future. Collectively we can make a change by closing the gap between men and women in the workforce. Entrepreneurs are those adventurous, daredevils who drive deep into the pressing problems of society and try to find solutions to them, not by leaving the responsibilities in the reins of the government or business, but by trying to change systems as whole and persuading societies to take new initiatives.

In our Social Entrepreneur series today we are introducing you a very dynamic and popular Social Entrepreneur of Allahabad she is known for her remarkable and outstanding performance in social field particular in Inner Wheel Club who always believes in Women Empowerment and social entrepreneurship. Yes, we are talking about Dr. Sunita Jain, District Chairman, District 314, she shared her Service and Charity Project with Hello Womeniya Correspondent Priyanka Yadav.

Project Highlights: Inauguration of rejuvenated lake, restoration of well which is three hunderd years old, restoration of another well with bigger diameter and pump house with pipeline reaching to each padas at the hands of Association President Sarojji Katiyar at Village Mahuli, Shahpur Taluka.

S – Spreading the wings of Inner Wheel

PROJECT DETAILS: As part of the Awareness drive to Save Mangroves, MANGROVETHON – a Marathon organized by Inner Wheel District 314 & Mangrove Foundation saw about 450 women unite to support and create awareness about Mangroves. This event was held on March 27th 2022 at Coastal & Marine Biodiversity Centre, Airoli. The Mangrove Foundation is an autonomous Body under the Revenue & Forests Department, Government of Maharashtra and was formed in 2015 to protect mangroves and the Coastal & marine Wealth in Maharashtra.

The Foundation also undertakes research on the Coastal & Marine landscape & promotes sustainable livelihoods opportunities for the coastal community. Women of various age groups took part in 3km, 5km, & 10km run enthusiastically. The day began with a very energetic Zumba session by Dr. Dechhan Lama ,a Dentist by education & renowed Zumba Instructor .She along with her assistant charged the atmosphere early morning. The First Flag off began with 10km run at hands of District Chairman Sunita Jain, Virendra Tiwari (Additional Principal chief Conservator of Forests & Executive Director of Mangrove Foundation) The participants were gathered at the starting point and to encourage them we had artists playing Dhol

which charged the atmosphere. At the resting point, Zumba sessions continued for the 5km& 3km participants., For the 5km Flag off we had Shri Rajan Vichare member of parliament(MP),Senior officials from the Forest & mangrove Department, Bipin Singh (Police Commissioner Navi Mumbai),Abhijeet Bangar (Municipal Commissioner Navi Mumbai), PAP Pushpa & DC Sunita For 3km run we had maximum participants and this was flag offed by DC Sunita & officials of Mangrove. The delegates were treated with a high protein food boxes and energy drinks.
For the Prize Distribution we had activist Amruta Phadnavis who was aware of activities done by Inner Wheel and she appreciated the efforts put by Inner Wheel District 314 to create awareness. The Winners were handed over Trophy and sarees along with medal and certificate. The event had a media Coverage by various news channels and Newspaper coverage.

Project Highlights: Inauguration of Prosthetic & Orthotics unit and renovated operation theatre at Bai Jerbai Wadia hospital, Parel at the hands of Association President Sarojji Katiyar.

Brief Introduction of International Inner Wheel:

International Inner Wheel is an international women’s Social organisation to create friendship, service and understanding. It has clubs in over 100 countries with over 100,000 members. IWC has very strong presence in India. It has more than 3000 thousands clubs in Urban and rural India. Since the Covid-19 Pandemic breaks out Inner wheel club launched charity campaign worldwide. In our Inner wheel Social entrepreneur series in this Episode we are introducing very popular face of IWC; she doesn’t need any kind of Introduction.
